Similac to the rescue

Tristan is 9.5 months old and still wakes every 2-3 hours at night to nurse. It’s exhausting and the lack of sleep is really starting to get to me. The fact that he won’t nap during the day or go to sleep before 11pm does not help. He has adapted to Sophie’s habits, I guess he has decided to mimic his big sister.

I have always believed in the natural process, I’m not one to use medications easily. Hell, I had natural childbirth with all my kids..yes, NO PAIN MEDS! I’m more afraid of the medication than the pain, crazy but true. Anyhow I also am a big on breastfeeding, for me, but not judgemental as I believe it’s a personal choice. So far it’s been wonderful with Tristan but this is the first time I have had a 9 month old that is not sleeping through the night and it’s because he wants to be attached to the breast all night. So I decided it was time to supplement night feedings and so I sent the hubby out for some Similac and he was nice enough to find the one for fussy and gassy babies like my Tristan. He drank 2 whole ounces, remember babies that are breastfed eat smaller amounts for frequently and formula is thick. He slept 5 hours before waking. It was so nice!

Tristan is on table food because he decided he was not going to eat baby food and every time Sophie get’s a bottle I have to give him one with water because he gets so mad and tries to take hers. So I gave him his last night at the same time Sophie got hers. It was so funny he was full and drowsy and giggling and then he was out. No gassies all night, no whining tossing or turning he literally slept like a baby.

Thank you Similac I don’t know why I put you off for so long but I think you will soon become one of my best friends.
