Guest post; How much I love her

Some of the most beautiful words your mother can say , “I’m pregnant”. Other than my dad I was second of all people to know about little Sophie. You know how special I felt? She is a blessing. Yes, she might have a rare genetic disorder but she is human. I will love her no less & I’m not afraid to inform people about her disorder. The only thing that stops me from telling most people is ignorance. It bothers & ticks me off. From my perspective Sophie is my beautiful little sister. She is amazing company, loves pictures just like her big sister, & is so smart. I admit things were different before she came into our life. I never cried as much as I did when she was born. I remember when Sophie was in the hospital not too long ago me & my mom drove over there to take my dad food. On the way back I don’t think I’ve ever cried as much in all my life as I did that ride back home. I didn’t know what to do or what to say. It breaks my heart to think she won’t grow up to do many of the things me & my brothers will do. Sophie is a fighter, though. Do you know what she has been through to keep her life? My poor baby sister has been through more than most people & she doesn’t even once complain. I love my baby sister, & I don’t show it as much as I used to. I don’t even want to imagine what life would be like without her. Please take the time to read & inform yourself about my beautiful baby sister Sophie. Nothing can ever change the love I have for her. God bless you my lovely fighter<3

SEmily, Sophie is so blessed to have you as a big sister. My daughter Abigail has cCri Du Chat also – and my 7 year old son is like you. I hope as he gets older his love and caring remains the same. You are blessed with a wonderful family and they are blessed to have you. Sophie will grow up looking up to you and will amaze you at what she will do.
