My Saturday

I’ve been fighting off this nasty cold that has been going around but it has defeated me, I’m sick. Horrible headache, super sore throat, cough and congestion but I didn’t let that ruin my day. I got up early, made the kids pancakes and cleaned the house. Before I knew it was time for Sophie’s riding lesson so I headed out with her. It was nice to get her (and myself) out of the house after being cooped up all week while she recuperated.

Running around getting ready for her riding lesson. Her balance is so much better!

She's a natural! Now only needing minimal supprt and riding without mommy.

Lesson done. She was having a moment with Devin her instructor! Love this!

After riding I decided to be brave and I took the kids outside to play…in the cold, but it was sunny. They had loads of fun, riding bikes and bouncy worms and then we headed into the back yard for some kickball and rolling around.

After a while Sophie was a little off and I decided it would be a good idea to go for a walk. Tristan pushed her kidkart for most of the walk, he is such a good little big brother! Elyas and Ariana also took turns pushing Sophie. We picked up some pine cones for the fireplace along the way and Tristan got to ride on my shoulders when we were almost home.

After so much fun it was time to go make dinner! Let’s just say being outside for so long was not the greatest idea for myself since I’m sick but I’m sure it’s nothing alot of tea won’t help fix, plus the kids needed to have some out-door fun. Daddy was working all day so he missed all the fun! But now I’m going to go watch movies until I fall asleep, that’s a perfect Saturday in my world. How was your Saturday?

Unfortunately, I don’t have any activity with kids to share, but my Saturday was: early wake up, preparing bread to bake later on (the dough was rising since the evening before),out to the outdoor market, then working a little in the vegetable garden with my husband, back home, baking bread for lunch, eating and a little relax, preparing food for the week in the afternoon as I will be travelling soon for the Survival Compromise, ironing and watching TV in the evening…Have a very nice week! 🙂
